International Tiger Day 2026
Join us in celebrating International Tiger Day 2026, the flagship annual conservation event of the Hyderabad Tiger Conservation Society (HyTiCoS), organised in collaboration with the Telangana Forest Department.
Observed globally on 29th July, International Tiger Day raises awareness about the urgent need to protect wild tigers and the forests they call home. This year's global theme:
"Securing the Future of Tigers with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities at the Heart"
recognises the vital role that Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities play in conserving forests, protecting wildlife, and sustaining the landscapes on which both people and tigers depend.
Through this celebration, we aim to inspire students, educators, families, and nature enthusiasts to understand that tiger conservation is about much more than saving a single species, it is about protecting entire ecosystems, supporting local communities, and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
