About the event
In this guided nature walk, participants will be guided to observe insects such as butterflies, bees, beetles, ants, dragonflies, and other invertebrates that contribute to pollination, soil health, decomposition, and food webs. Through close observation and discussion, the walk will highlight how urban green spaces act as refuges for biodiversity and why their protection is essential for cities to remain ecologically functional and resilient.
The walk also encourages mindful engagement with nature, helping participants better understand how everyday urban environments support wildlife. By documenting insect diversity, LUNGS Walk #8 aims to build awareness around the ecological value of urban green spaces and strengthen community stewardship for their conservation.
